The International Training Course on Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) held successfully from 5-15 April 2016. There were 29 trainees from 10 different countries and regions who working in the field of Climate Services participated the training.
This duration for the training is 10 days, it’s aimed to enhance the trainees’ understanding in Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) and introduce China Framework for Climate Services (CFCS), to provide the trainees with related operational technologies, and to strengthen the trainees’ ability in climate services from developing countries. Training experts from Met Office-Hadley Center (UK), Beijing Climate Centre and Shanghai Climate Centre shared beneficial experiences on the field of Climate Services. In addition, Mr. Filipe Lucio, from WMO GFCS office, also gave lecture about GFCS by remote instruction system.
