The pre-rainy season in South China started on March 21 and was 16 days earlier than normal - China Meteorological Administration

March 21 has witnessed the beginning of pre-rainy season in South China which has experienced plentiful rainfalls in this month. As a result, the pre-rainy season has been about half a month ahead of time in comparison with normal years.

 

According to the data from the National Climate Center, there are three significant periods of rain during March, namely, 9-10, 13, and 20-21 March. It is worth noting that most of Guangdong were exposed to rainstorm or heavy rainstorm from 20 to 21 March.
