About 20 representatives from 4 partner countries, respectively: Austria, Hungary, Italy (Project leader) and Poland participated in the local EULAKES project opening in Charzykowy, Poland, 23 August 2010.
The EULAKES project is a new, integrated approach to improve lake governance in Central Europe. The Programme covers 4 European lakes, namely: Balaton (Hungary), Charzykowskie (Poland), Garda (Italy) and Neusiedl (Austria). EULAKES is mainly risk and vulnerability studies and environmental monitoring to provide scientific data to local authorities and support decision making processes.
