A Harsh 2016 Dry Season “ When Every Drop Counts ” Is Forecasted For The Next Three Months - Trinidad & Tobago

  • The 2016 Dry Season is expected to be a harsh one with larger number of hot days and longer periods of consecutive dry days, than usual.
  • Below average rain fall totals and hotter than average day and night temperatures are expected across the country during the three months from January to March (JFM) 2016.
  • Total rainfall for JFM 2016 are expected to range between 55.0 mm in northwest Trinidad and 220.0 mm in northeast Trinidad and between 95.0 mm in southwest Tobago and 180 mm in northeast Tobago.
  • Rainfall totals with the highest chance of occurring for the month of January range between 29.0 mm and 109.0 mm in Trinidad and between 40.0mm and 80.0 mm in Tobago.
