Jakarta, BMKG joining the Climate Change Festival entitled "The Sixth Indonesia Climate Change Education Forum and Expo" which was held from April 14 to 17 at JCC Senayan, Jakarta. This festival is inviting young people to participate in educational fairs and sharing information about climate change.
In this event, BMKG informed the audience, especially youngsters, about every issue on climate change and how BMKG be up against those issues. And for four days, more than 2500 guest visited BMKG booth. Most of the guest are students.
“This event is a place for BMKG to educate and inform all Indonesian people, especially youngster, about BMKG and climate change. It is BMKG duty to share information on how to decrease the effect of climate change“ said BMKG Executive Secretary, Dr. Widada Sulistya, during his inspection to the BMKG booth at the festival.
The Indonesia Climate Change Education Forum and Expo 2016 drew several ministries, local administration, state-owned enterprises, private companies, environmental organizations, and non-governmental organizations. (kd)
