February 2023 was warmer than normal in temperatures and below average precipitation. The mean temperature of the month was 19.7°C which is 1.3°C above the long-term normal for February and this goes on record as the fourth highest mean temperature for February since 1902. This is the same as in February 2021 and 1960. Note that the highest mean monthly temperature for February was 21.5°C recorded in 1963.
