The Hong Kong Observatory enhanced its Computer Forecast Weather Map today (28 April) that extended the forecast area to the north to northern China and Hokkaido of Japan; and to the west to Nepal and eastern part of India. This allows the public to better understand the weather changes over a larger area.
The Computer Forecast Weather Map is automatically generated from the outputs of the high resolution numerical weather prediction model operated by the Observatory. The maps are updated 4 times per day providing forecasts up to 3 days ahead. Members of the public are welcome to access the forecast weather map.
