Offenbach, 27 February 2023 – The last meteorological winter month also recorded clearly positive temperature deviations. Brief wintry phases tended to be concentrated during the first third and at the end of the month. In between, temperatures were springlike reaching just over 20 °C in places. Sunshine duration was also higher. However, monthly precipitation was below average, particularly in the south-west, as the Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) established after an initial analysis of the observations from its approximately 2,000 measuring stations.
