Bogor// Indonesia Regional Training Center (InaRTC) at Citeko, held 2 regional workshops this month (29 March - 8 April) and (4 - 11 April). First workshop is for Technical Weather Analysis and the second workshop is for Communication Operators.
The participants of these workshops are not only from BMKG but also from Indonesian Air Force and participants from other countries such as Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Timor Leste. They are invited to join this 2 weeks workshop at InaRTC as BMKG contribution to Regional II and V area.
A WMO Regional Training Centre in Indonesia (Ina-RTC) is an institution that undertakes training in meteorology, climatology, hydrology and related sciences to fulfill the needs of the Region. Since June 2012, InaRTC have been doing many workshops and trainings as contribution to the capacity building and development in RA II and RA V. This accomplished through well suit curricula and training events driven by the regional needs and requirements, by taking full advantages of the global pool of WMO expert and in synergy with other WMO-RTC’s.
With these workshop and trainings, InaRTC brings the mission to improved training on know-how and ‘related tools and technologies’ in order to be able to meet requirements for meteorologist and hydrologist as outlined in WMO-1308 document and competencies requirement through Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
