WMO, with support from the National Centre for Hydrology and Meteorology (NCHM) Bhutan and the Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems in Asia and Africa (RIMES) has successfully completed the implementation of a project aimed at strengthening the capacity to provide climate services and support climate sensitive sectors in the remote, landlocked mountainous country.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) plans to report hourly precipitation and snow depth observations in BUFR and TAC format as of 00UTC, 31 March 2022. Precipitation data has been reported in SYNOP bulletins every 6 hours in BUFR format and every 12 hours in TAC format, whereas snow depth data has not been reported. However, the updated SYONP bulletins will include hourly precipitation (TABLE 013019) and snow depth (TABLE 013013) observations from 53 surface stations in South Korea. The code used for BUFR is TM 307080 template, and the headers are ISMC01 RKSL, ISIC20 RKSL, and ISNC01 RKSL. The headers of TAC are SMKO01 RKSL, SMKO02 RKSL, SIKO20 RKSL, SIKO21 RKSL, SNKO01 RKSL, and SNKO03 RKSL.
