However, until recently there has been limited reliable detailed scientific information available to these countries. A new report released by Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) is helping to fill this gap. The two-volume scientific report “Climate Change in the Pacific: Scientific Assessment and New Research” shows clear evidence of how the climate in the Pacific has changed and how it is projected to change in the future.
It provides the most comprehensive scientific analysis to date of climate change in the Pacific region. Volume 1 provides a regional overview. Volume 2 provides individual reports for 15 countries. The full report can be downloaded.
