After the extremely hot temperatures at the end of July, the first two decades of August were much more pleasant. Dry and very warm periods frequently alternated with wet and cooler ones, whereas the last decade of the month brought a return to widespread summery heat. During the summer of 2019, Germany was often under the influence of high-pressure areas. At times, the weather was pleasant, at others there were striking incursions of very hot air with new, impressive record temperatures. August 2019 goes on record as the fifth hottest August ever experienced in Bahrain since 1902. The mean temperature of the month was 35.9°C which is 1.9°C above the long-term normal for August and this goes on record as the fifth highest mean temperatures for the month of August since 1902. This is same as August 2012 and exceeded by August 2017 with a record of 36.6°C, August 1998 with a record of 36.5°C, August 2016 with a record of 36.4°C and August 2015 with a record of 36.1°C. Every year, when there is busy season for sand and dust storm, large scale weather of this kind will pose huge hazards to human health and property. People residing in sandstorm-affected areas urgently call for establishing regional and specialized monitoring and warning center, and Regional Specialized Meteorological Center with activity specialization on Atmospheric Sand and Dust Forecast (RSMC-ASDF) of World Meteorological Organization (WMO) came into being.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reports that July was the warmest month on record for the globe. The global land and ocean surface temperature departure from average for July 2019 was the highest for the month of July, making it the warmest month overall in the 140-year NOAA global temperature dataset record, which dates back to 1880.
