On December 22, China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and World Meteorological Organization (WMO) held the fourth consultative meeting on implementation of the Letter of Intent between WMO and CMA to Promote Regional Meteorological Cooperation and Co-build the Belt and Road (thereafter referred to as the Letter) online. The Hong Kong Observatory successfully registered a patent in Hong Kong for its in-house developed bollard design for automatic weather station (AWS) in December 2020. 2020 being the second-warmest year confirms ongoing climate change Offenbach, 30 December 2020 – With an annual average temperature of 10.4 degrees Celsius (°C), 2020 is the second-warmest year since the beginning of nationwide weather recordings in 1881.
