![]() WMO Fellows graduate from IHE Delft On 25 April 2017 four WMO fellows graduated from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. The fellows joined over one hundred MSc students from 43 countries who received their diploma on this day. The graduates are now part of the IHE alumni community that comprises over 15,000 water professionals working and living in more than 160 countries. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Voluntary Co-operation Programme (VCP) provides equipment, services and training to support national meteorological and hydrological services and encourage capacity development in developing countries. As part of this programme, the Met Office, the UK’s national weather and climate service, supports students from developing countries to complete an MSc in Applied Meteorology and Climate with Management at the University of Reading in the UK. IMTR is a designated World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) Regional Training Centre (RTC), for English-speaking Africa and as such is expected to provide training that supports the regions National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHS’s).
