The WMO Global Campus is a collaborative network of institutions and National Meteorological Hydrological Services involved in the development and delivery of education and training in meteorology, climatology, hydrology and other related sciences. It is built on the synergies, sharing and cooperation between these institutions and will address global priorities and the growing and changing requirements and needs for learning in the community.

Through its Members, WMO provides weather and climate services to the public health community. Furthermore, in 2014, WMO partnered with the World Health Organization (WHO) to establish a unique Joint Office for Climate and Health, located at the WMO.
The World Meteorological Organization, as the successor of the International Meteorological Organization, created in 1873, has its fundamental mission to support the countries of the world in providing meteorological and hydrological services to protect life and property from natural disasters related to weather, climate and water, to safeguard the environment, and to contribute to sustainable development.
