技术委员会和研究理事会

在第十八次世界气象大会(2019年6月)批准组成机构治理改革后,八个WMO技术委员会正在向两个技术委员会过渡。执行理事会(EC)技术协调委员会(TCC)将作为EC与技术委员会、研究理事会和其他相关机构之间的双向接口。

技术委员会负责研发气象和水文业务系统和应用,以及开展科研。它们制定方法和程序并向执行理事会和大会提出建议。技术委员会通常每四年举行一次届会。每个技术委员会届会期间将选举主席和最多三个副主席。

技术委员会由具体领域的专家组成。这些专家由会员按照其科学专长进行指定,但其不代表各自的国家。

Commission for Aeronautical Meteorology (CAeM)

The Commission for Aeronautical Meteorology is the driving force behind the Aeronautical Meteorology Programme.

Commission for Agricultural Meteorology (CAgM)

The Commission for Agricultural Meteorology (CAgM), the driving force behind the Agricultural Meteorology Programme, is to provide guidance in the field of agricultural meteorology by studying and reviewing the available science and technology.

Commission for Atmospheric Sciences (CAS)

The Commission for Atmospheric Sciences supports research in atmospheric science through the Global Atmospheric Watch and World Weather Research Programmes in order to reduce and mitigate natural disasters, protect the environment and enhance understanding and response to environmental change.

Commission for Basic Systems (CBS)

The Commission for Basic Systems oversees the development, implementation and operation of integrated systems for observing, data processing, data communication and data management. It guides the work of the World Weather Watch, Public Weather Services and WMO Space Programmes.

Commission for Climatology (CCl)

The Commission for Climatology leads international technical activities under the World Climate Programme in view of applying climate information and knowledge to support sustainable socio-economic development and for environmental protection.

Commission for Hydrology (CHy)

The Commission for Hydrology (CHy) addresses basic hydrological observation networks, water resources assessment, flood forecasting and warning, flood and drought management and adaptability to climate variability and change and promotes the exchange of technology and capacity building. 

Commission for Instruments and Methods of Observation (CIMO)

Established by the International Meteorological Organization, the Commission for Instruments and Methods of Observation (CIMO) ensures the accuracy of weather observation by facilitating the creation of international standards and, thus, the compatibility of measurements.

Joint WMO-IOC Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology (JCOMM)

For international coordination of oceanographic and marine meteorological observing, data management and services.
