The Integrated Global Greenhouse Gas Information System (IG3IS) aims to provide observation-driven support for estimating GHG emissions and removals, from the facility level to the national scale. In 2025, IG3IS is releasing Good Practice Guidelines for determining emissions at both urban and national scales, as well as strengthening collaborations with international climate bodies, economic sectors, and stakeholder groups.

The success of IG3IS hinges on providing valuable guidance to support the monitoring and management of mitigation actions. To achieve this, information and services must be co-developed by research and user communities that implement mitigation strategies and need accurate quantification of GHG emissions and removals.

The IG3IS Stakeholder Consultations and User Summit aims to encourage meaningful dialogue and collaboration among key stakeholders who use emissions information. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with members of the IG3IS scientific community, deepening their understanding of emissions science and its applications. The event will also facilitate a robust exchange of data-driven greenhouse gas emission information, featuring insightful case studies that examine emissions at various levels—national, urban, and facility-specific. Additionally, it will identify gaps between current capabilities and emerging user requirements.

If you would like to participate in this event, please express your interest by submitting the registration form.
