Junior Iroume
Dr. Junior Iroume is a Civil Engineer specializing in hydraulic and coastal structures. He holds a master's degree in Hydrometry and Operational Hydrology, a PhD in Fluvial Hydraulics, and a Master of Engineering degree in Wastewater and Stormwater Management. He works as a Research Associate at the Water and Climate Change Research Center within the Geological and Mining Research Institute (IGMR) in Cameroon, which houses the national hydrological service. He has built strong expertise across the entire water cycle, from hydrometry and hydrology to flood risk analysis, cartography, and fluvial, pluvial, and urban hydraulics. Driven by a passion for addressing climate change challenges, he designs innovative, science-based solutions to strengthen the flood resilience of communities.
