State of the Climate & Water Resources
This session will provide a concise, high-level overview of WMO’s two flagship publications: The State of Water Resources 2024 and The State of the Climate Update for COP30. These reports present the latest scientific findings on the global water and climate systems, highlighting trends, risks, and implications for policy and adaptation. The session will follow the WMO Community Meeting and is primarily aimed at WMO Members and Permanent Representatives, while remaining open to the public.
Through two short expert presentations and open exchanges, participants will gain insight into recent developments in the hydrological and climate domains and their relevance for COP30 discussions on resilience, adaptation, and science-based decision-making.
