The Meeting of WMO ET-TMM held in Beijing

The four-day meeting focused on the key issues related to modernization and capacity building in meteorological observation. Conducted in a hybrid format, it brought together over 30 experts and scholars from the WMO Secretariat and countries including China, the United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, Fiji, and Kenya.

The meeting aimed to develop training courses for automatic weather stations, update the instrument and measurement competency framework, and compile guidance on operation and maintenance plans. It was convened at a critical juncture as the WMO advances the implementation of the United Nations’Early Warnings for All initiative.
