11th WMO SDS-WAS Regional Asian Steering Meeting

The 11th SDS-WAS Meeting and International SDS Early Warning Workshop aims to (i) review the report on the current development status, (ii) review national progress on SDS forecasting and early warnings, (iii) advance RA II Operating Plan implementation by enhancing environmental observations and services across RA II, (iv) discuss future work priorities and key scientific issues in SDS research, (v) exchange the latest advancements and achievements in multi-source SDS observation, numerical model development, AI applications and EWS construction, (vi) demonstrate the operational guidance capabilities of RSMC-ASDF Beijing, and (vii) enhance alignment with the UN Coalition for Combating SDS, promoting cross-border data-sharing and capacity building.
