CREWS SWFP- Eastern Africa Training Workshop on Severe Weather and Impact-based Forecast and Warning Services

The CREWS/SWFP–Eastern Africa Training Workshop on Severe Weather, Impact-based Forecast & Warning Services is to be organized in Entebbe, Uganda from 27 May to 6 June 2025. The training workshop is supported through FINKERAT project (funded by the government of Finland) & various CREWS funded projects including for East Africa, Horn of Africa and Djibouti. Operational forecasters from the NMHSs of eleven countries including Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, United Republic of Tanzania and Uganda will participate in the training workshop. In addition, representatives of stakeholder organizations (e.g. national disaster management and civil protection authorities etc.) from the host country Uganda will also attend the second week of the workshop (2-6 June 2025).
