Participants should bring a valid passport or identification document to access the WMO premises. Participants will receive their visitor badge at reception/security upon arrival.
Getting to Geneva
Geneva Airport (GVA) is approximately 5 km from WMO Headquarters.
By train – recommended
- The airport railway station is located directly underneath the terminal.
- Trains connect Genève-Aéroport to Genève-Cornavin (Geneva's main railway station) in approximately 7 minutes.
- Trains run frequently throughout the day.
- By bus no 10 or 5 to Cornavin
- From Cornavin, participants can continue to WMO by tram, bus or taxi.
By public transport
- Geneva's public transport network includes buses, trams and trains.
- Tram 15: From Cornavin, take Tram 15 towards Nations. WMO Headquarters is a short walk from the Nations stop.
- Bus: Several TPG bus routes serve the area around WMO, including stops close to the headquarters. Take Bus no 25 and 1 to the final terminus Jardin Botanique
- Please remember to purchase your bus/train ticket from the TPG transport machines at the bus stops or SBB for the train. You can also download the SBB app in advance to purchase tickets and check train schedules.
By taxi
Taxis are available directly outside the arrivals area at Geneva Airport. The journey to WMO generally takes around 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic.
