Regional training on mainstreaming gender in EWS and capacity enhancement on gender policy for NMHSs

The Regional Training on Mainstreaming Gender in Early Warning Systems (EWS) and Capacity Enhancement on Gender Policy for NMHSs is a four-day training, jointly organized by WMO, UN Women, and partners, will be held in Naivasha, Kenya from 30 September – 03 October 2025. The training will strengthen the capacity of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) in Eastern Africa to integrate gender and social inclusion across the early warning value chain. Participants will gain practical tools to develop gender-responsive strategies and roadmaps, share best practices, and build networks that ensure early warnings reach and serve all, especially women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities
