First in-person Meeting of the WMO Task Team on Fire Weather Services (TT-FIR)

The first in-person meeting of the WMO Task Team on Fire Weather Services (TT-FIR) will take place from 11 to 13 June 2025 at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, Italy during the Global Fire Management Hub Plenary. 

The meeting will promote the work of the TT-FIR and allow for the development of a global strategy for fire early warning and advisory services. During the plenary session, the WMO, JRC and FAO will present fire data and early warning services. Surveys will be done during the plenary to inform discussions and priorities for the development of the global strategy.
