As climate impacts intensify, integrating hydrology into adaptation is essential. This event highlights the role of hydrology and considering floods and droughts in shaping effective water-related indicators under the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA). Experts will discuss how hydrological data can inform adaptation metrics, enhance resilience, and guide action on the ground. The session will showcase innovative monitoring, share national experiences, and outline practical steps to embed water extremes into global adaptation frameworks. By linking science and policy, the event aims to strengthen adaptation planning and ensure water is central to achieving the GGA.
