An event focusing on meteorological high-quality development of China and Arab States opened in Yinchuan, Ningxia

Representatives from National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) of China, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Comoros, Yemen, Iraq, and Egypt, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), relevant universities, enterprises, and research institutions gathered to draw a new blueprint for China-Arab meteorological cooperation.
Dr. CHEN Zhenlin, Administrator of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), delivered an opening address via video. Mr. LI Yifei, Secretary of the CPC Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regional Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Regional People's Congress, and Dr. Abdulla Ahmed Al Mandous, President of WMO and Director General of the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) attended this event and delivered opening speeches respectively. Mr. Ayman Ghulam, President of WMO RA II, Chairman of the Meteorological and Climatological Committee of the League of Arab States, and Director-General of the Saudi Arabia General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection, delivered a speech via video. Dr. CAO Xiaozhong, Deputy Administrator of CMA, also attended the event.
