Twelfth Session of the Research Board and Joint Meeting of the Research Board and Scientific Advisory Panel

The Twelfth Session of the WMO Research Board will convene leading scientific experts from across weather, climate, water, ocean and environmental disciplines to evaluate progress and shape the next phase of WMO’s research agenda. Building on advances in areas such as artificial intelligence, hydrology, and social science integration, the session will assess outcomes from task teams and WMO sponsored and co-sponsored research programmes and propose actions that support inclusive scientific development, especially in low- and middle-income countries.

The session will be followed by a Joint Meeting with the Scientific Advisory Panel, where both bodies will align their perspectives on topics of joint interest, such as artificial intelligence, and discuss ways to continue advancing collaboration.
