Training Workshop for Regional WIGOS Centres in East, North and Horn of Africa

The training workshop for Regional WIGOS Centres (RWCs) in East and North Africa aims to enhance the understanding and skills of RWC staff and National Focal Points (NFPs) from Members in East Africa, the Horn of Africa, and potentially the SWIO subregions. The goal is to promote the efficient use of WIGOS tools within the framework of RWC functions, in line with the established roles and responsibilities of RWCs and NFPs.  The workshop also seeks to better prepare RWCs for the upcoming audits, enabling them to progress toward full operational status. Particular emphasis will be placed on strengthening collaboration between RWCs and NFPs to address key observational challenges related to data availability, quality, and timeliness.
