CREWS Caribbean 2.0 Regional Workshop on Impact-Based Forecast and Warning Services and the Common Alerting Protocol for the Caribbean, on 26-29 May 2026 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago
Purpose: This workshop will be funded under the CREWS Caribbean 2.0 project and aims to strengthen regional capacities and coordination on Impact-Based Forecast and Warning Services (IBFWS) and the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) across the Caribbean.
The workshop will bring together representatives of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs), National Disaster Risk Management Offices (NDRMOs), and other relevant stakeholders to enhance understanding and operational application of IBFWS and CAP in support of multi-hazard early warning systems.
It will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, sharing of good practices, and discussion of practical approaches to improve coordination, communication, and dissemination of warnings, including to vulnerable and last-mile communities.
