Dr. Erica Moret

Dr. Erica Moret is Director, United Nations and International Organisations at Microsoft, Geneva. In her work, she supports the UN and IOs in tackling global challenges through technology innovation, including Artificial Intelligence. A former diplomat, she has a DPhil (Ph.D.) from the University of Oxford and is a graduate of France’s École Nationale d’Administration (ENA). She is co-founder and former Policy Director at the Swiss Centre for International Policy Engagement (Polisync), where she convened multi-stakeholder dialogues and led applied research projects for multiple United Nations agencies, the World Bank, European Union, Government of Switzerland, and humanitarian organisations. Until 2024, she was Senior Researcher at the Geneva Graduate Institute’s Global Governance Centre and Centre on Humanitarian Studies, as well as Visiting Professor at Sciences Po’s Paris School of International Affairs. She has provided testimonies and strategic advice on humanitarian affairs and global security to the United States (State Department, Treasury, Congress); Canada (Global Affairs, Senate and House of Commons); Switzerland (Federal Department of Foreign Affairs); EU (European Parliament, European Commission, European External Action Service); and UK (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, HM Treasury, both Houses of Parliament).
