WMO Statement on the State of the Global Climate

WMO Statement on the State of the Global Climate

Every year, WMO issues a Statement on the State of the Global Climate. It is based on data provided by National Meteorological and Hydrological Services and other national and international organizations.

For more than 25 years, these reports have been published in the six official languages of the United Nations – Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish – to inform governments, international agencies, other WMO partners and the general public about the global climate, significant weather and climate trends, and events at the global and regional levels.

The key findings of the provisional Statement will be presented at several high-level events, including the 25th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, or COP 25, which is set to take place in Santiago de Chile from 2 to 13 December 2019.
