Governance Services Department

The Governance Services department serves the WMO Secretariat and its Members with an array of services: administration, multilingual publishing and conferences, common and operational services, and guidance to WMO Members and staff through the development of policies and procedures.

The Department promotes and encourages accountability, operational integrity and professional excellence, innovative and cutting-edge technical solutions, strategic planning, open communications, knowledge sharing and environment-friendly initiatives. 

Maja Drazenovic-Carrieri is the Director of Governance Services, and her office promotes continuous enhancements with its Business Innovation and Knowledge Management teams. 

Brigitta Exterkate is the Deputy Director of Governance Services and the Director of Legal Counsel and Administration Division, providing the following functions:

• Legal counsel
• Procurement and Contract Management
• Human Resources  
• Finance and Budget   

Anthony Duncker is the Director of Linguistic, Conference and Common Services Division, which covers the following areas:

• Linguistic Services and Publishing
• Conference Services
• Facilities Management and Common Services
