Blaise Dhont

Blaise Dhont is an environmental and hydrological engineer with a PhD in fluvial geomorphology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). Initially focused on natural hazard management, he later specialised in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). Since 2019, he has been a Project Manager at the International Office for Water (OiEau), where he leads international cooperation projects in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. His work includes IWRM, transboundary cooperation, climate change adaptation, and the application of space-based hydrology in water resources management. He regularly conducts field missions to provide technical and institutional support on water governance, planning, and knowledge and information systems. He also manages EU-funded projects related to nature-based solutions and natural water retention measures.
