2025年8月，秘书长批准了WMO秘书处全面重组计划，标志着朝着“WMO一体化”统一方法迈出了决定性的一步。这一转变旨在应对不断变化的全球挑战、对提升地球系统综合服务的需求以及日益增加的财务限制。

此次重组将加强WMO的机构韧性、优化资源、使秘书处的结构更紧密地与会员的优先重点保持一致。
