Multi-Risk Impact-Based Early Warning Systems Webinar
The WMO RA VI Research to Operations eXchange webinar series continues on 12 March 2026 with a session dedicated to Multi-Risk Impact-Based Early Warning Systems.
This lecture will showcase innovative approaches that integrate geological, weather and climate hazards with exposure and vulnerability data into unified decision-support tools — shifting the focus from hazard detection to anticipating real-world impacts on people and infrastructure.
The session will feature the Horizon Europe GOBEYOND project and will be delivered by:
- Dr. Erika Meléndez and Dr. Xavi Llort, Centre de Recerca Aplicada en Hidrometeorologia (CRAHI), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC)
Together, they will present how next-generation impact-based early warning systems are being piloted to strengthen preparedness and response capacities of civil protection authorities and first responders.
Researchers, NMHSs, operational services, and partners working at the science–operations interface are encouraged to participate.
Join the conversation and help advance research-to-operations collaboration across RA VI.
