The RA III Focal Point on Gender (RA III-FP-GEN) reports directly to the Management Group while driving the regional adaptation of the WMO Gender Action Plan. It raises Member awareness on gender equality within NMHSs and strengthens their capacity to enact these measures. By fostering a community of practice, the FP-GEN promotes diverse, balanced representation. It also coordinates with other WMO bodies to ensure gender perspectives are integrated across all regional initiatives.
