Scientific Advisory Group on Ozone and Solar UV Radiation

The Scientific Advisory Group on Ozone and Solar UV Radiation supports and advances research aimed at improving the understanding of both short- and long-term variability in total ozone, its vertical distribution, and solar ultraviolet radiation, as well as their impacts on the atmosphere and the broader Earth system. Its activities are closely aligned with the recommendations of the Ozone Research Managers Meeting and are carried out in collaboration with relevant international programmes and projects—particularly SPARC—as well as through joint efforts with wider environmental science initiatives, including those related to climate, health, and ecosystems.
