Scientific Advisory Group on Greenhouse Gases

The Scientific Advisory Group on Greenhouse Gases aims to coordinate the observational network that delivers long-term, climate-quality data on the trends and spatial distribution of long-lived greenhouse gases (LLGHGs) and related tracers. These data are used to assess changes in radiative forcing since the pre-industrial period, constrain emission and loss budgets from global to regional scales, and support the verification of bottom-up emission inventories and process-based models.
